Wow another episode in the same year!  We are on a role.  This time around, Albert interviews Lee Broderick, designer of Dwarf, now on Kickstarter.  We have a fun chat about Uwe Rosenberg games and get into a lot of the details about dwarfs (or dwarves).  We get into dwarven details. :)

In Episode 112 Albert & guest host Chris discuss the recently wrapped up Solo Print & Play design contest.  We look at the top winners and a few honorable mentions.  We also have a brief KS segment in which we show off just how good Julius really is at Kickstarter stuff.

Like two hobbits with the same birthday, Albert & Julius celebrate the eleventy-first episode by covering two games.  First we look at the Lord of the Rings Adventure Card Game then we look at the Networks.  There is off course the usual KS segment and a quick chat on what we've been playing.  Oh, and don't forget, we fix one of these games by adding in the missing piece.

Welcome to the 99th episode of the 1 Player podcast.  Yup, we are nearly at 100; but, for now let's focus on 99.  This episode is one of the biggest yet at almost 144 minutes!!  It's got a lot.  There is the normal KS news, and a discussion on games whose solo experience killed the multiplayer game and games whose multiplayer experience killed the solo game.  Then, Chris has his solo report on Mr. CabbageHead's Garden Game by Todd Sanders.  Then Julius talks about Project Dreamscape by Will & Sara Reed.  We have a Great Debate and finally Julius finishes up with an interview with Sara Reed.

This is the briefest episode in quite a while as we had to cut the Kickstarter Report short.  However, check out the history segment on the Reconquista followed by a review of the game.  Also, the Elevenses for One contest is resolved.

This episode, we have very little news, but still talk about some cool upcoming releases. We review two great little print and play games: Elevenses for One and X-Hour Xenostrike. We also talk with Morten Pederson, game and solo variant designer, about game design and solo gaming. 

In yet another long episode, we take the opportunity to interview Chris Hansen, Jake Staines, Ryan Mayes, and Todd Sanders about the Solitaire PnP Contest in our annual Roundtable. We also review another previous contest entrant, Maquis. We introduce some new music, Julius chats about more SGOYT, and we talk about the news and upcoming games.

In this BIGGEST episode yet, I have a discussion on the 2014 solitaire PnP design contest with Chris Hansen & Todd Sanders.  This was originally recorded as a Google Hangounts conversation and the video can be watched on YouTube.

Alas, I am no expert and I had audio issues.  Hopefully they don't distract from your enjoyment too much.  Contrary to the appearances, I am not chewing tabacco. 

Today's episode is all about Hermann Luttman.  First I have a great discussion with Hermann about some of his solitaire designs.  Then I look at his latest solo game, A Spoiled Victory: Dunkirk 1940. Enough said.. on with the show!

The latest episode of the show is on Free Trader, a print and play game about travelling through space and hauling goods.  This neat little card game uses a card driven mechanic to control a lot of the flow of the game.  I take a brief look at the mechanic and how it is used in a few different games, focusing on the evolving complexity as you go from game to game.

This episode is once again mostly about Print and Play games.  Specifically, I talk to Chris Hansen about the Solitaire PnP Design Contest going on right now as well as about his new endeavor with White Dog Games.  Finally, I l look at the solitaire RPG, Chronicles of Arax.

Episode 40 is here!  In this episode I talk a lot about print & play games.  I go into tools, supplies and even a bit about technique.  Then, I review a game which was originally a commercial game but is now available as PnP.

This episode covers a neat little Print and Play game on transporting goods across the galaxy. The game is AstroNavis Merchant Advanced. You take on the role of a trader whose just taken a loan out on a ship and has 3 months left to repay it. Your going to need to haul quite a few loads in those 3 months.

I also give a quick recap of Solitaire Gaming Month and my recent solitairish activities which mainly amount to thrifting a few games.
